Dead!
Hello People! I'm going to treat as if nothing has happened. This blog is subconciously dead. I might lend it to Jia Hui to use for her blogskin testing. I won't tell you where I've run away to, because I'm no celebrity, and I can't handle the paparazzi-like (meaning rumour-licious) people as well as they can. I just want to hide away and enjoy a private life like Johnny Depp. Yeah! Just like him, I have my own virtual private island. Except Johnny really owns an island in the Caribbean. And a villa in France. So Tata! Have a nice life everyone! (i mean this in a completely non-cynical way. Because I know some nice people will come visit here)
I've deleted my previous two entries because I know they were a little mean at some point. Oh and the warning as well. The tagboard is also gone and I just want to put everything that happened on that tagboard out of my mind.
So... Toodles to everyone and to the not-very-nice people, I FORGIVE YOU! Like what David said, YOU REALLY HURT MY FEELINGS, BUT I FORGIVE YOU, because it will just ruin my day, hating you. Besides, I have better things to do, like thinking about ice-cream and chocolate, or Wentworth Miller... : )
But I don't think I shall ever put up a tagboard ever again. It's really scarring, what I've seen. And as the old adage goes "Once bitten, twice shy".

Something... and more Pride & Prejudice
I am in school right now. I PROMISE I WILL POST PICTURES, because i like pictures. But for my digital art, please go to "La Bella Vita" on my Links/Stars and Butterflies. That's my freewebs account. I use it to post my digital art 'cos you can't right-click there and I DO NOT WANT ANYONE stealing my graphics. Go on to portfolio or gallery if you must. I know i sound childish, but i can't help it.
For those Pride & Prejudice (movie 2005) fans/lovers or own the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack, you will notice that the titles on the sidebar are the names of some of the tracks. I love the titles of some of the tracks and the music was simply gorgeous so that's why,
je devais to use their names for my blog. (i'm not done yet... and will continue when i'm less tired)

Lolita
I'm reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. My interest was first sparked by an article in a newspaper a few weeks back. It was about Hard Candy, the movie starring Ellen Page as this prey turned predator. They made Ellen Page out to be a looney nymphet, and had a whole bunch of other movies which had a similar storyline to Lolita. Sometimes my curosity is sparked in the weirdest of ways, so anyway, i went to wikipedia to do some background research on it. Turns out that the plotline was very interesting, so i decided to get it.
Apparently, Lynnie has already read the book and highly commends it. That made me even more interested.
Unfortunately, the book was priced at 24.50 in Popular, and
ma mere did not agree to purchasing it.
Fortunately, the library had it and i was
tres pleased. They also had Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Lolita was very different from anything i had ever read. Where do i even begin? The flowery language? Or the controversial plotline?
But i was more enthralled by the language, if you ask me. Humbert Humbert's language is so rich, and reminds me of Chocolat, the movie starring Juliet Binoche and my favourite actor, Johnny Depp. Chocolat was truly like Lolita.
Malheuresement, time was and is not on my side and i am progressing at a maddeningly slow speed for a book that i thought i would finish in a snap. I think this is an appropriate time to blame the school for deprieving me from my time to read. Hello? i still need to complete Atonement by Ian McEwan and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.
I wished i had all the time in the world to read. And hide in my own little paradise of movies, books, music and sketching.
Mais non, c'est la vie and i have to bear with all this nonsense.
But hey, Lolita's going well so far, and I'm sure it will be one of my favourite reads. Plus, i love that name- Lolita: Lo-Lee-ta. It's too pretty to be forgiven.
One more thing: I forgot to mention, or maybe i did. Anyway, if you want to visit or view some of my digital art, please go to
www.freewebs.com/tintedroses-velvetjewels. It is listed as On Top of the World in my Links. I use that instead of the blog (or maybe i will if i find out how) because i don't want people stealing my graphics. I wished i knew html. Sighs.

per Lynnie's recommendation)
-Gone With the Wind
-To kill a Mockingbird (
everyone's read it..)I am currently hoping to improve my mind through literary masterpieces and not those crappy chic-lit books that always starts the same. "So-and-so scratches her head" and is all about guy troubles. Let us venture into the realms of real story-tellers such as Truman Capote, Margaret Mitchell, and The Bard himself. It is such a pity that no one reads all these literary masterpieces and decides to read something with dumb bitchy blondes putting on lipstick and stealing each others boyfriends. I don't know boys, so i shall not comment.
